Hats and things

I have been making a few hats, even a pair of mittens.

J has now found the love for hats and the weather the way it is, its a good thing. Check out those point teeth!
This hat is made in Malabrigo chunky garnet, its a cloche style hat but looks more like a sunhat on J!

A chunky alpaca vest with owl cable. This is quite Milo - esque. Its a newborn size in chunky AL alpaca wool. I love it!

Hats for a gift

A couple of hats I crocheted for a friends' daughters. Their eldest is J's age and their youngest was just welcomed into the world. Bub is absolutely gorgeous and Mama is well, though tired, she is trying to keep up the breastfeeding.

Crochet cables

I have learnt to make crochet cables. Its fun once you know how. They make better crocheted hats.
One is tiny and fits Junior (doll).
I made one for my brother's 30th with aran organic merino as well as one in scraps of Shetland (as is the doll size) and Cleckheaton 8ply.

Hats

My BIL asked for a crocheted flaphat. He is an interstate truckie so this will keep him warm.

Also a crocheted hat from handspun which I got from Knot Your Nanna's Knits on Yarn Collective. I started making so many things with it but finally designed a slouchy hat myself.

In Law

My mother in law requested a pink hat and her partner wanted a bllack one. I hope they appreciate them. My SIL said I was to make a scarf but can't remember saying that! But I have great in laws so I like to do this.

Hats and strong winds

I made the Vintage Bonnet for a christening gift for my youngest niece. Her big sister wanted it so I told her I would make her one. Last night with the strong winds I found it hard to sleep so I crocheted. I made 3 hats. A shell hat similar to the vintage bonnet and 2 butterfly hats. One is for my daughter.
