Handmade buttons and a jacket for me

I wanted to try making some unique buttons for my projects. I at first tried Sculpey III then Premo which I prefer.

Bulky jacket for me from cestari yarn.

This took me a while to make. I memorised the 4 row pattern about halfway through and it was enjoyable and easy. The yarn is 5ply merino handdyed by Zan. I received it in the MM jar swap.
It can be worn as a light wrap or scarf. I like the versatility.

On Monday we went into the City to check out the Morris&Sons sale. I was wanting some chunky yarns for a babywearing shawl, jacket for my daughter, Knit Pro needles and some 10ply to make something lovely for myself. I was successful on all counts.
A scarf and fingerless mittens crocheted from Jo Sharp Aran Tweed (wool/cashmere/silk).

Finally meeting my nephew

Finally we met my husband's brother's son. He is 4 months.
He is so lovely, alert and placid. Very much like J especially at the same age. And heavy too.!
