I took the kids, again to see a movie. This time it was more crowded and the kids seemed more cranky so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been.
We were going to see The Princess and the frog but the reviews and thoughts on that have been less than enticing. We finally decided on seeing Alvin and the Chipmunks.
At least my 6yo said it was the best movie he had ever seen. How we love music!

Jackorama
The kids were performing in the school concert which was called Jackorama (tribute to Michael Jackson). Each class did a song each with the whole school coming out after the grade 6 came out in their graduation outfits. They loved it and the audience enjoyed the night as you can hear from the noisy audio on these videos.
My daughter was nervous yet excited to introduce a class.
"Ease on down the road"
"Can You Feel It"
Out of sync but they had fun.

Musical Hoodie
I started with hand coloured organic merino in my fave colours, balck, red and purple. Red is a challenge to photograph in my experience.
I made a guitar applique which I put on the lower back. The buttons are shaped like plectrums (guitar picks) so its fun!
It was a lovely day today with tiny flowers showing up in our overgrown lawn and the sun shining.

First tooth
On Friday evening I, with the boys, took my daughter to the school. She had been chosen to attend the Geelong v Western Bulldogs game at Etihad Stadium. Twelve children and 4 carers went and they had chips and sof drinks in the corporate box. How lucky! My daughter said, "I go for the game. I stay for the food." She enjoyed the experience.

The boys and I waited for my husband to pick us up after he finished work. J was laughing as he looked at me in the mei tai and I noticed something. Uh oh. No longer a gummy bear. There was a tooth just appearing. I had to lament, have a little cry, because I was in no rush for him to get teeth! I could feel the sharpness of the tooth though its hard to see. Its his bottom left. The right one is just pushing through too.
My eldest boy rang his Nanna (my Mum) and asked if he and his brother could stay the weekend! So after my daughter was picked up, we just had our eldest and youngest for the night. On Saturday we picked up the boys and a sewing machine! We went to Geelong for dinner which was great. On the way back we were all singing Magic Dirt (Geelong should be proud). "Hung" is my husband's favourite song from the "Beast" album. The kids were singing it word for word!

Guitar Rocker
We decided to get our big boy a guitar for his birthday. He wanted one and hubby agreed (so he could play it no doubt).

The whole family is enjoying it.

Even J enjoyed a nap as Av played loud!

Sustainable Living Festival
On Saturday we went into the city to check out the Sustainable Living Festival at Federation Square. We didn't stay long because my husband had an appointment (which fell through).

So I went again on Sunday just with J. (Now 5 months!)

Sunday was also the day of mourning for Black Saturday (Victorian bushfires).

Australia rocks!
I love living in Australia. I like reading about other places but I have no desire to travel outside our country. It would be great to travel the country by car one day. I still feel its the luckiest country.
And of course we have the best music.
