Purple Power

I was looking for something to make with 184grams of handspun wool from Ridge Didge @ Yarn collective. This is a simple crocheted shawl/wrap. Its not very big but I think its great anyway. My kids agreed to model it for a good photo each, I am grateful!

And hubby too.

Boy on Earth

Av was eager to help spin the organic merino fibre I got from Knot Your Nanna's Knits.

I made a crocheted vest and it was very quick. Trimmed with double stranded undyed organic aran merino. Not sure if I love it or hate it, possibly both. Its weird and wonderful.

Handspun hat

My first handspun project, a hat. Its very cute though of course, getting a 10 month old to wear it may well be impossible. The yarn was hand spun by me and part of it coloured by Av.

Spun

I bought an Ashford low whorl hand spindle and merino roving some time ago.
I finally got around to trying to spin. Just a small amount that took a while to acquire…Getting quicker though more experimental. I am not sure if I am doing it ‘right’ but thats the fun of it.
Single ply because plying is something I don't quite get.
