My slouch in Woolganics. Originally light green, I over dyed in black. Love it!

My shawler. The pattern was gifted to me by Jordan in the Ravaholics Mother's Day swap.  I used Yarn Cafe Polwarth 12ply merino striped with Cascade Eco+ and the hood is Cascade baby alpaca.

Ermeline

A hoodie with a difference! The pattern is Ermeline which was gifted to me in the MM Ravaholics Mother's day swap. I used woolganics chilli and light blue. Its fun and gorgeous.

A few finished things.

I have been working on a few things for a swap as well as these.

 

This was meant for my daughter's birthday but I waited a while for the yellow to arrive. It is Woolganics 10ply. My daughter requested a shawl in blue/pink/yellow.

 

Another tikki test singlet. This one is in Debbie Bliss Eco cotton. I love this colour.

 

Here is J wearing the singlet and another Vanilla, this time in 14ply Shetland and super bulky undyed Cestari.

 

A dress I made for my Mum to give my cousin who is due to have a baby next month.

 

I have also been making a few hats. 

Manda Ruth

Hoodie in seed stitch and rib, knitted in Woolganics worsted. I loved making this but its a small fit. I decided to make short sleeves so it would get more wear.

 

  

I bought this pattern in support of Haiti. I made the 24 month size. I added small pearl buttons.

Gorgeous but not easy

And because it looks better on a cute bubba....

 

Crocheted hats, easy. Right? Not this one. It took me a while to even get it started. But the result is interesting and even better, practical. It fits and its lovely.

I used Woolganics 8ply and Treliske trim.

I love the colours, the cotton, the style but it was a challenge to make. I used Debbie bliss Eco cotton and Bernat organic cotton.

I had this beautiful organic merino dyed by Zan, I wasn't sure what to make with it to do it justice. I think this was perfect. A cocoon for newborn. I made it a little wider for my sized newborn (4kg) and worked shells in a spiral. This was fun to make.

Organic Bombay

J has been so sweet lately, giving kisses. He also whacks me and bites. But the adorable kisses make up for it. He is very keen to walk around the house and spends a great time of the day just walking.
Unfortunately we haven't been very well at our house with a nasty bug going aroud even affecting Mama.
But I have enjoyed just hanging out with the family.

Bombay Love is a very quick pattern and cute too. I did get confused with the tie and I need to fix it on to the body better and then it will be great!

Made with Blue Sky undyed organic cotton and edged with Debbie Bliss Eco cotton.

Orange yoked sweater

I had wanted to try Blue Sky organic cotton for a while.

This is a yoked sweater worked up easily and quickly.

I reckon it looks awesome on J

Crocheted tank

Crocheted tank top for baby in Blue Sky Alpaca skinny organic cotton (8ply). Its a little small/short for J but I love it anyway. It has a little button on the front.

J has been taking more steps on his own.

Simple organic bib

Simple and quickly made bib knit in organic fair trade cotton.

 

Steps

J spent most of yesterday evening, getting up to stand then take a few steps at a time. He was quite impressed and delighted with himself. He also stands up to dance. His balance is improving all the time.
His sister and brothers are in awe of their baby brother growing up. We all are.

He is wearing his new toddler sized singlet made from beautiful Debbie Bliss Fair Trade eco cotton in purple. It barely (if ever) splits and its so soft. I would love some more.

Organic Singlet

J is due for some toddler singlets (I must have an aversion to store bought singlets as J only has a couple and rarely wears them.) so this is a lovely organic one. The yarn is Peruvian organic cotton and its knitted in 2 colours. I knitted 55 rows for extra length.

Scraphant

I wanted to use up some woolganic scraps.
Here's the result. A little crocheted elephant. It looks easy but I found it a challenge. Its worked top down with legs and trunk worked in loop and the ears I added on my own way.

First time with jelly

I was colouring some Aran organic merino with food dye but didn't have any blue.
My eldest son mentioned the jelly (given to us by friends). I used the berry blue. I didn't realise he meant he wanted me to make it for him to eat...not colour the wool.
I used vinegar instead of cirus acid this time. It smells. The colour to me appears more generic and bright.

Toggle Jacket

This jacket crocheted in the Inner Stitch winter club colourway - Grapevine Soul.
Its 12ply organic merino so its just lovely to work with. Unfortunately there wasn't enough for a hood but it turned out fine anyway.
I couldn't find a pattern I liked so made this up as I went along - topdown and seamless. Made it in one day so it was very quick.

Boy on Earth

Av was eager to help spin the organic merino fibre I got from Knot Your Nanna's Knits.




I made a crocheted vest and it was very quick. Trimmed with double stranded undyed organic aran merino. Not sure if I love it or hate it, possibly both. Its weird and wonderful.

Aviatrix

Aviatrix is a fitted hat bonnet for babies complete with ear flaps. Its very cute.























I was worried it would be too small but it fits very well with room to grow.I put 2 buttons on it.
I used Woolganic 8ply Gaia, only about 35grams or so.

Tree Hugger

Crocheted yoked top and shorts made with Beflecked merino Daintree colourway and green organic contrast coloured by my 3 year old.
